Rub or brush Soft Wax over the surface, spreading the wax in thin, even coats. Remove excess wax with a clean cloth right after you have applied it. Less is more, so there’s no need to apply wax too thickly. Work small areas at a time.
Dry time can take as little as 10-20 minutes. However, a couple of hours or even overnight is best if time permits. Wax is ready to buff when it looks dry or no longer feels cool to the touch. If possible, buff Soft Wax in the same direction as the wood grain using a 100% cotton cloth or buffing brush.
*For an aged look apply Dark Wax over the Clear Wax, working it into any brush textures, then removing any excess wax. Buff with a cloth when dry.
*Applying two coats of Soft Wax is best.
*The curing process for Soft Wax may take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks.
*Once Soft Wax is applied, no other finish can be applied to the project to help protect the wax. Attempting to add lacquer, polyurethane, or any other top coat to a wax finish is futile.
*If you are new to waxing we recommend you practice on a small piece.
